My Website Design Updates

Earlier this week my very talented website designer Kristarella Studios did some further design work for me on my ‘home’ page. You know, a  little tweaking here, a little tweaking there and hey presto, I have a newer more improved look.

But the biggest change was my new header. I just wasn’t satisfied with what I previously had and really needed a tagline, all the great blogs have them. When I grow up I want a great blog just like they do. So with the help of my wonderful husband we came up with the tagline “Living Organic in the 21st Century” as that’s pretty much what I’m all about.

Some other significant changes were the adding of a photo of myself. I haven’t had one of me on the ‘home’ page for quite a while and was something very much needed in my personal opinion. I picked this photo because this is how I look now. If/when I change my look then so will the photo of me so that it always stays current. Do you like the black & white or do you prefer a colour photo? I also love the little banner on it introducing myself, a nice touch I picked up from my website designers own website. Cute hey!

Then there were the blog post teasers that also needed some much-needed tweaking which now look like this:

A much cleaner look if you ask me, no clutter, no fuss, just simple and clean. What do you think? We also changed the website font and size to go along with the cleaner look for the whole website which I also like. It’s a constant work in progress but I’m happier with it now.

Next is to start tweaking the other pages here and there where required. It’s hard some times to be subjective when it’s your own so I’d love to hear from those of you who read my blog and what you think of its design. Constructive criticism is appreciated and welcome, always.

Let me know your thoughts by leaving me a comment up top underneath my blog heading….

Hi Lia,

your blog design and layout just gets better and better. I love that its is clean, simple and uncluttered. I also love the white background making everything easy to read (hate print over busy and/or coloured backgrounds). The black and white pic of you provides a good contrast for the colour in your banner and in your blog headings. Its simplicity also says ‘what I say is more important than how I look’. (not that your looks are unimportant but I’m sure you get my drift).

Hi Magda,

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and offer your feedback, I really appreciate it. It’s always good to see things through other peoples eyes sometimes. Little by little I’m moving in the direction I want with it.

And I knew what you meant, so no worries there. ;)
