organic-natural-hair-salons

If we are what we eat, then we are also what we put onto our bodies, and by bodies, I mean our hair. That's why organic and natural hair salons are on the rise.

But first, here's my personal story. In 2012 I switched over from a conventional toxic hair salon to an organic + natural hair salon. I first started with Naturally Organic Hair Salons who have five locations around Brisbane (QLD).  Back then, they were using EverEscents Organic Hair Care until recently when they made the switch to OWAY Australia. At the end of last year I had to move interstate with work, so luckily I found Pure Hair in Wagga Wagga (NSW). They stock and use O&M.

Both salons and staff embody the same philosophy and values I do towards all things health + wellness. In fact, it's because of their own personal health experiences they made the switch from toxic to non-toxic. The great thing now is there are a growing supply and demand for organic + natural hair salons which increases our choices for happier + healthier hair without all the health and environmental risks.

"To fill a gap. Where stylists and clients want to make a difference, with a choice to be greener, together we can create a better option."

Here are just some of the reasons why you should choose organic or natural hair salons + products:

- green
- recyclable
- no alcohol
- no ammonia
- no mineral oil
- no paraphenylenediamine
- higher quality
- natural results
- phyto-active ingredients
- hair treatments w/essential oils

The list goes on. People are becoming much more health conscience these days and starting to realise how toxic hair products really are. So because of this, they're wanting healthier choices, and so the need for organic + natural hair salons continues to grow in this country.

Now I would love to hear from you. Tell me in the comments below why you switched over to an organic or natural hair salon and if you haven't would you consider it for your health's sake?
