There's no greater feeling than being able to turn a dream into a reality, and that's why I took the leap of faith and enrolled into The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I've dreamt about and wanted to become a certified holistic Health Coach.
Since my cancer diagnosis in 2012, I've been on a personal journey to learn and study as much as my brain could absorb in the hope of reducing my many side-effects and improve my overall wellbeing. In 2017, while I'm studying part-time I'll be applying all my learnings to myself to find what works specifically for me and my body.
Then I'll be able to share my experience with you after I #FindHopeInHealth. But as we know no two people are the same, because what works for me may not work for you and that's okay. This process is about listening to our bodies, making shifts and seeing if that feels right for you. After all, your health and happiness is what's important here.
What Is IIN?
The Institue of Integrative Nutrition (USA) is a year-long online course that helps to educate people who are passionate about all things health and wellness. Your motivation can be for either personal or professional reasons, either way, there are endless possibilities available as far as what you can do with your newly learned skills.
What's A Health Coach?
A Health Coach is someone who supports clients with their health and wellness goals through lifestyle and dietary shift.
Once certified, I'll be offering skype consultations of an evening/weekend as well as offering various e-books via my website. But this won't happen until the second half of 2017.
I'm excited that I'll be able to help people to help themselves like so many have done for me during my cancer journey. If you're anything like me, sometimes we just need someone to hold our hands and walk beside us, and I hope that someone will be me.
Have you ever worked with a Health Coach? If so, I'd love to hear all about your experience by leaving me a comment below. I haven't personally so it'll be great to hear your thoughts.
