I've just finished Week 2 of 8 of the JSHealth Program. I bet you're thinking to yourself right now why on earth am I writing a review about something I haven't finished yet, aren't you?

That's a good question, and here's the answer. Because it simply works! Some things in our lives are that simple.  I don't need to wait until the end of it to know it works. It's resonated with me, and at my age, I know with my heart of hearts when something's the right fit because my intuition tells me. I've already shifted into the paradigm I knew was waiting for me to step into, which means the remaining six weeks left of the program will be truly magical. This isn't just changing the inner and outer body, it's transforming and for the better of not just me, but all who surround me. The process is what I love about any personal journey, the destination is just the by-product of it.

Jess Sepel is a Clinical Nutritionist and author of two incredible books, "The Healthy Life" & "Living the Healthy Life". I've been following her blog and social media for many years now, and she inspires me daily with her holistic approach and philosophy towards food and the emotional attachment we have with it. Jess believes it's so much more than what we eat, what we drink and what we think.

I don't know about you, but I've lost count of the number of times I've fallen off the health + wellness wagon. But I'm the fall down seven times stand up eight type girl, resilience is my middle name, it's not, but it should be. I'm not perfect nor do I live in a perfect world but I'll never give up trying.

There was little reason why my body wouldn't continually respond to my nutrition and exercise choices. My intuition knew though, it kept sending me signs, but I wouldn't listen. Then Jess announced her JSHealth Program, more importantly, she talked about her primary focus being about healing our relationship with food and that very moment I knew this was the right time, right place and the right program for me. I heard my message, and loud and clear.

I initially held out little hope for fear of disappointment, but to my surprise Week 2 of 8 turned out to be the pivotal turning point for me. Once I recovered from my body's detox process from eliminating and reducing alcohol, caffeine, dairy, gluten and refined sugars (all of my choosing), I felt a million times better. My body also responded by dropping all of my bloating and discomfort as well as some long-term inflammation.

But the mental shift is what's truly blown my mind, all the daily practices have proven to be an equally important part of this process. Making permanent lifestyle changes is so much more than what we eat, what we drink and what we think. I've been crowding out the negative by introducing more positive, and it's proven to make for a much happier healthier place to live in my head.

See you can teach an old dog new tricks. At 44 years of age, I'm still growing and learning. Why, because I'm open to it.
